Vaccinations

Vaccinations are one of the most important tools the veterinarians have to protect your pet against disease. We recommend the first round of vaccinations between six (6) and eight (8) weeks of age.

Canine Vaccines

At Cascade Veterinary Hospital, our doctors have your puppy's health in mind when recommending a vaccine protocol to prevent disease. Puppies between the ages of six (6) and eight (8) weeks should all be vaccinated against certain diseases. The vaccine regimen at Cascade is designed to protect young puppies from diseases including Canine Distemper virus, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza virus, Parvovirus, and 4 strains of Leptospirosis. Rabies vaccination is required for all dogs at three months of age. Our doctors also require our boarding dogs to vaccinate against kennel cough and canine influenza virus.

Feline Vaccines

Kitten vaccinations also begin between six (6) and eight (8) weeks of age. The vaccine protocol recommended by our doctors includes Panleukopenia (feline distemper), feline Calicivirus, feline herpesvirus type I (Rhinotracheitis) and rabies.

Your new puppy or kitten deserves the best protection against these potentially life-threatening diseases. Please call one of our caring staff members at Cascade Veterinary Hospital to insure your pet is properly vaccinated today!
